ANOTHER CITY COUNCIL MEETING
ANOTHER CITY COUNCIL MEETING
(The following was written without ChatGPT, etc. A 60 second read)
Hello
This last week, I went to another City Council meeting where I talked, in part, about our petition to “STOP” the humanoid robots. (Picture included is not from the most recent City Council meeting, but from one we attended earlier this year.) While my presentation was bewilderingly small in the context of the budding debate over what roles these tools might have in our society, it is now at least the case that our local council members understand that such an effort exists.
Hopefully it may continue to seem less foreign to them. Thank you for helping to sign and promote our petition. It is said that when we strive to articulate what we know is right, it enables other people to do the same. Let's hope this is the case.
These new technologies emerging are monolithic and terrible in scope - but I believe humanity can bring these machines into focus for our betterment. I hope you’ll consider signing our petition to stop these absurd machines.
Sincerely,
Michael Christensen-
