THEY ARE NOT A GOOD SYMBOL FOR SOCIETY

Hello
The work to define - as well as defend - human rights has perhaps been the most important work for modern civilization. Despite countless thousands of years of discretion-less cruelty, recent peoples have made a sincere-as-possible effort to use our systems of law to safeguard the dignity of the individual and their respective tribe. Though far from perfect, few human projects have done more to realize a common human aspiration.
But - what if we make our tools look like the human being? How does this relate to the most noblest of our human efforts? Does it not imply we're playing fast and loose with our commitment to preserve human dignity, and are more seriously in search of technicalities by which we can enslave peoples once more? Or - if we make these machines into super humans - does this not mean we think we’re inferior? It is hard to imagine how our making these human-looking tools ever more extraordinary would not sooner than later result in some pathetic, society-wide ritual act of self-subordination.
Whatever the case, we must not forget the essential relationship between a tool and the one who wields it.
Sincerely,
Michael Christensen-
